As part of our ongoing efforts to be a business that does good, we have chosen to support the Rainbow Trust. Rainbow Trust is a charity which provides vital backing to families suffering desperately whilst trying to cope with the trauma of coping with terminally ill kids. They need our financial support to keep going. A Rainbow Family Support Worker can be the difference between coping with the serious illness of your child, and your family falling apart.
We have been encouraging the team to find their own ways to help raise money and since we launched in February, we’ve managed to directly raise £3,000!
We’ve done this by having weekly ‘dress down Fridays’ during which the team will donate money into our collection jar. We have also held barbeques, quizzes, karaoke nights, sweepstakes and a pyjama day.
We’re also encouraging the team to do their own fundraising efforts, and our Managing Director is leading by example.
David took part in the Cotswold Way Challenge, part of the Ultra Challenge Series which requires participants to walk, jog or run 50 km across the hilly route of footpaths and trails from Bath to Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire.
In the past few weeks, the UK has been dealing with some pretty hot weather! While most of us were trying to stay cool, our fearless leader was working hard to raise money for Rainbow Trust. David walked a hot, hilly and arduous route in 10 hours and said that the generous donations of friends and colleagues made it all worthwhile!
